Jakarta is one of the cities with the worst traffic. You might find yourself hours in a car on your way back home even though it’s only a 10 miles trip (16 km).
To visualize the condition, I created an animation of the traffic during the “Independence Week”. I obtained the data through HERE Maps API and visualize the data with Folium package (based on Leaflet.js) in python.
I posted this on Twitter as well and it went viral.
